The tiling scheme will largely dictate where to start tiling and how the wall should be marked out for tiles start by measuring the height from the lip of your bath to the top of the planned tiled area.

Mark a horizontal line around your bath at this height.
The process involves using specialist tile backing board which won t warp and requires a bit more effort than using standard bath panels but you may consider it well worth the extra effort.
You can then decide the size and placement of the access panel as it is aesthetically better to make it to the size of say 4 full tiles rather than having to cut tiles and therefore having an unsightly line through them.

Should i tile the wall under the bath by say 2 to 3 centimetres and butt the panel to the tiles or fit the panel then tile up to.
Tile the room first this will allow you to plan the bath panel tiling accurately by lining the bath panel tiles up with the wall.
