The time it takes to install a laminate floor depends on the size of the job but you can make a reasonable estimate for a 10 by 20 foot room and extrapolate for a larger job. They should acclimate for at least 48 hours.

You ll also want to tear up any carpet in the room and remove the leftover tack strips. So you need to factor this process in when you are planning and laying laminate flooring. The easiest way to stop this from happening is to use floor spacers. Floor spacers are sometimes included with the laminate flooring.

Next cut strips of underlayment to size and lay the strips down across the exposed floor.
